2022 MA Ball: Primavera
MA x Crisis UK
Following the establishment of the Midlands Alliance between Warwick, Leeds, Nottingham and Birmingham HKPASS, the 4 societies held their first flagship event - Charity Ball Primavera in the Birmingham Botanical Garden. All the profits raised from this floral-themed ball were donated to Crisis UK, a charity providing support to those experiencing homelessness across the UK.
QM Carbon Footprint Challenge
QMHKPASS x WWF
This flagship event presented by the Queen Mary HKPASS involves participants enjoying different games and scavenger hunts around the city of East London. Our members have enjoyed the city hunt in areas like Shoreditch and the River Thames. They learnt about different ways to cut down carbon emissions in their daily lives and has raised money for the WWF.
UCL Amazing Raise
UCLPASS x Crisis UK
Our members are joint with the UCL HKPASS for an eventful day, playing checkpoint games and going the extra mile to raise awareness for the homeless. Part of the participation fees were donated to Crisis UK, s charity that has been supporting the homeless across the UK since 1967.
2018 Time Auction HK
Time Auction HK x WHKPASS
Joining efforts with Time Action HK, our members can use their volunteer hours at WHKPASS and elsewhere to exchange for invaluable mentorship opportunities with Hong Kong inspiring leaders. This includes Mr Dan Brody, Managing Director at Tencent Holdings, Ming Gor (明哥), Owner of Pei Ho Counterparts (北河同行), and Mr Tsang Yam Pui (曾蔭培), Former Commissioner of Police & CEO of NWS Holdings.
2018 Charity Rose Sale
Our charity rose sale on Valentine’s Day provides the opportunity for Warwick students to get their beloved ones some gorgeous red roses. We are buying roses from local farms and florists to show our support for small businesses. Last year, we earned and donated £235 to the Butterfly Children’s Hospices. With the donation, Butterfly Children’s Hospices will be able to provide more help towards severely ill babies in China orphanages by funding surgeries, adoption and temporary stays.
2017 Charity Ball: The Venetian
OPS x WHKS x WHKPASS Oriental Ball
The unprecedented collaboration between Warwick Oriental Performance Society, WHKPASS and Warwick Hong Kong Society, we are the only oriental ball in Warwickshire. Hosted at the Royal Pump Rooms, we bring you the night of The Venetian. A beautiful Regency building from 1800s, you can relive the glamorous part of history with your friends from university.
2016 Charity Music Festival
WHKPASS x Warwick Band Society fundraising for Cancer Research
As the band Starship said "We built this city on Rock and Roll." Music can change the world, especially Rock and Roll. WHKPASS is merging charity and Rock and Roll together to make it even more powerful! WHKPASS is cooperating with Warwick BandSoc, Warwick OPS band and many other societies to build a charity music festival. We hope everyone can enjoy the music and help our world out at the same time. May Rock and Roll never die!
